The LINQ Pet Relief Area: Photos, Directions, and Information

The LINQ Hotel + Experience has a pet relief area that can be a bit tricky to find — it took us some wandering during our early 2025 visit. The signage isn’t very clear, and the area feels tucked away in a back corner. Here’s everything you need to know to find it without getting lost.
Quick Facts
- Number of Pet Relief Areas: 1
- Time to Pet Relief Area from Front Desk: Under 7 Minutes (including time to get lost)
- Distance Measured to Pet Relief Area from Front Desk: 0.47 mi
The LINQ features a single pet relief area located 0.47 miles from the front desk, which takes under 7 minutes to reach if you know where you’re going. The area is gated, bags are available, and there was no noticeable odor during our visit. That said, the area feels a bit like a hidden back corner — not the most inviting, but it gets the job done.

How to Reach the LINQ Pet Relief Area
- From the front desk, make your way toward Dunkin’ Donuts by heading down the shopping and food hallway.
- When you see the sign for the Ground Floor (left side of the hallway), go down one level.
- The escalator was out of service during our visit, so we had to take the stairs or elevator.
- After exiting the elevator on the ground floor, veer slightly right and follow the posted signs.
Note: The signage isn’t very clear. We got lost more than once. But keep going, and you’ll eventually spot it.
What to Know Before You Visit
The LINQ pet relief area is gated, which provides some security for your dog, and waste bags were readily available during our visit. The area was clean with no noticeable odor.
However, the location feels like a hidden back corner rather than a well-integrated amenity. The signage leading to the area isn’t very clear, which can make your first visit frustrating.
During our walkthrough, we got lost more than once trying to find it.
Additionally, the escalator to the ground floor was out of service, requiring us to use stairs or the elevator instead — something to keep in mind if you’re managing luggage along with your dog.
How The LINQ’s Pet Relief Area Compares to Other Strip Hotels
At 0.47 miles and under 7 minutes from the front desk, The LINQ’s pet relief area is one of the more distant options on the Las Vegas Strip — and definitely one of the harder ones to find. For comparison, Trump International Hotel offers the fastest access at just 242 feet and under 1 minute from the front desk. The Vdara Hotel & Spa pet relief area is 132 feet from the lobby and takes under 2 minutes to reach. Even Aria Hotel & Casino, which requires walking 0.62 miles through the casino, takes under 4 minutes, faster than The LINQ despite being a longer distance. Caesars Palace is one of the furthest at 844 feet, but the route is more straightforward once you know it. The LINQ’s main challenge isn’t just the distance; it’s the confusing layout and poor signage. While the gated area is a nice feature, the difficulty in finding it can be frustrating, especially during your first visit or late at night when you’re in a hurry.
Summer Heat and Seasonal Tips
Las Vegas summers are brutal for pets, and you’ll need to plan accordingly when using The LINQ pet relief area. Pavement temperatures can exceed 160°F in summer — hot enough to burn paw pads in seconds.
During summer months (June through September), the early morning and late evening are the safest times for bathroom breaks — ideally before 8 AM or after 8 PM when pavement temperatures are cooler. If you need to take your dog out during midday hours, consider using dog booties to protect their paws from hot pavement, especially since you’ll be walking a considerable distance (0.47 miles) to reach the relief area.
Winter months (December through February) are ideal for using this pet relief area, with comfortable temperatures in the 40s to 60s during the day.
Where to Exercise Your Dog
While The LINQ pet relief area serves its purpose for bathroom breaks, your dog will need proper exercise beyond this space.
Dogs are allowed on the Strip, but only between 5:00 AM and 12:00 PM (noon). Outside of these hours, dogs are not permitted on the sidewalks or streets of the Strip, except for service animals. If you do walk your dog on the Strip during permitted hours, keep them on a leash no longer than three feet and stick to early morning when the pavement is cooler and less likely to burn their paws.
For off-leash play and serious exercise, the closest dog park to the Las Vegas Strip is the Vdara Dog Park, located about 0.9 miles away at 2600 W Harmon Ave. This small, free park features real grass, a gated area for off-leash play, a water fountain for dogs, and waste bags. Although it’s positioned next to the Vdara Hotel for their guests’ convenience, you don’t need a room key to access it — making it a great option for anyone staying on the Strip.
Tips for Using This Pet Relief Area
Since the signage is unclear and the route can be confusing, consider doing a practice run without your dog when you first arrive at the hotel. This way, you’ll know exactly where to go when your dog actually needs a bathroom break — especially important for late-night emergencies.
Check whether the escalator to the ground floor is working. If not, plan to use the stairs or elevator. This is particularly important if you have mobility issues or are traveling with luggage.
Always bring backup waste bags even though bags were available during our visit. Carry a portable water bowl, especially during warmer months when the walk to and from the relief area can be lengthy.
If you have an anxious dog, the gated area provides some security and peace of mind compared to unfenced relief areas at other hotels.
